Vue de monde's 20th Anniversary Dinner

Celebrate two decades of groundbreaking dining with a night of greatest hits

Back in 2000, Vue de Monde welcomed its first diners to a quirky terrace house on Drummond Street in Carlton. Chef Shannon Bennett quickly built a cult following in the Melbourne dining scene with his innovative and contemporary approach to European cuisine.

Twenty years later, the menu has evolved from its traditional roots to a lighter-handed approach. The current executive chef Hugh Allen continues to celebrate the unparalleled quality of Australian produce with thoughtfully considered dishes and commitment to seasonality and locality.

Vue de Monde is excited to host its 20th-anniversary celebrations in collaboration with Melbourne Food & Wine Festival by featuring a set menu of favourite dishes from the last 20 years.

Join this historic celebration of one of Melbourne's landmark restaurants. Tickets are $295 per person. All dietaries catered for; please let us know of any requests in advance. This event is occurring from 6pm - 11pm on both the 24th of March and 25th of March 2020.

Is there a wine that invokes celebration and luxury more than Champagne?

On Sunday 12th January, Vue de monde’s suitably named Dom Perignon Room will become the backdrop for a day of cork-popping revelry.

Lead by one of Vue de monde’s senior Sommeliers and Champagne native, Alex Roger, this special event will see Alex uncover Champagne’s greatest joys and little-known artisanal grower-producers. 

Join us as we lay bare a world in which tradition and legend are exalted through precise and passionate wines.
